About
GDS began with the idea that everyone should be able to protect themselves and their families. The best way to prepare for this is through training. We provide handgun courses at several levels depending on your individual needs.
GDS was started by a retired Law Enforcement Officer with over 18 years of experience. His first two years were working in the only county facility in Colorado that was designed to hold Federal maximum security inmate/detainees. 16 years in Iowa, 4 as a patrol officer, 12 of them as a chief of police and two years of contract work with the U.S. Marshall Service.
During those years Certified by the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy as a Revolver, Pistol, Shotgun and Open Site Rifle Instructor, and Sniper/Observer. Member of the Area XIII Drug Taskforce as a K-9 Officer. SRT training and Active Shooter trainings.
